Holiday Luncheon Fun

I had a lovely day, spent chatting with the ladies of my local Romance Writers of America chapter at our annual holiday luncheon. Members Edith Layton and Bertrice Small donated books for all of us to take home, which is always nice, and I got to say hello to Michele Lang, whom I will be doing a talk with in February on the topic of epublishing. She brought along her new little baby, so everybody was cooing at the little darling all through lunch — which lasted a good four hours! These ladies can TALK!

So I had my fun and now it’s back to writing. (Supply your own whip cracking sound effect here.) ;-)

I’ll be closing the goody list soon, so send me that email before I finish up and start sending stuff out. Thanks to all those who’ve responded already. This year’s list is at least twice as long as last year’s so far!

  1. The luncheon was fun! I enjoyed sitting next you and chatting away the afternoon (and the food was great too, my leftovers will make a nice lunch for at least two days!) And since, I love a good freebie – I’ll send my address along to be added to your goodie list.

  2. Debbie! It was great talking to you too! That lunch lasted way longer than expected, but it was lots of fun, so I didn’t really notice until I looked at my watch and realized FOUR hours had passed. LOL. See you at the next meeting. :) -B.
