It’s an unusual Friday release for my vampire novella, One & Only. Here’s a little bit about it:

One and Only by Bianca D’Arc

ISBN: 978-1-60504-264-0
Price: 3.50

A deadly crash changes the fate of one lonely vampire.

Vampire enforcer Atticus Maxwell stands at the edge of his own oblivion…until the faint heartbeat of a desperately wounded mortal woman calls him back. The terrible crash that almost took both their lives has brought him a charming, intriguing woman who just might give him a reason to live again.

Lissa was headed for a conference at a resort in a last-ditch attempt to find a job. Instead, on a rain-slick mountain road that almost killed her, she finds the love of her life. A love with the most eligible, reclusive vineyard owner in Napa Valley—one that isn’t quite human.

No barrier—not even breaking the news to Lissa’s friends—seems too great to hold back their blossoming love. Until they learn the accident that brought them together wasn’t an accident at all, but a murder attempt by an unknown enemy.

Atticus saved Lissa once. Can he keep her that way in the face of a renewed threat?

Warning: This book contains graphic language, hot neck biting, outdoor loving and a hot man with a killer smile.

This book has been previously published and has been substantially revised and expanded from its original release.

  1. I hate you.

    Seriously.

I really am not that big on true vamps. (I started to say straight vamps but that just didn’t sound right. ;) )

    OTOH, I love your writing.

    Sigh.

    The conflict.

    You keep tempting me.

    ;p~~~

  2. LMAO! Well, I do understand readers having aversions to one thing or another. I definitely have those myself! ;-) But you can always wait until next year, when I start having new stuff come out in some of the other series.

Still, this is a novella. A mere 25,000 words. What’s the worst that could happen? If you hate the book, it’s not that huge of an investment of your time/energy. *shrug* But I do understand.

Please don’t hate me. Pretty please? :)

  3. Well, see, it wouldn’t be an obvious issue if I hadn’t put Sweeter than Wine on my MB&M wishlist just the other day. And the only reason I did that was because I’d read Lords of the Were during my shifter phase, as I call it.

Which isn’t actually over, you know. ;p See, it’s not so much that I’m completely opposed to vamps as I’m more, um, totally obsessed with shifters. But then I also like all these, ah, storytellers who shall remain nameless who tend to co-mingle them together, if you know what I mean. ;)

And, boy, there are a lot of those around, let me tell you. Just try to read a lot of shifter stories and avoid vampires completely. Ain’t possible. :D

Long and short of it – I’ll probably be getting them both this weekend.
