Just want to make you all aware of a great event coming in September… Here’s the Press Release:

Attendees this year will be treated to over 2400 free books, over 125 door prizes, several parties, mini events, workshops, tons of swag (and the good kind too!) photo opps, and tons of surprises!

And Aspiring writers? Small press authors? How would YOU like to get in front of a NY editor without the hassle of a big con’s appointment schedule? New Zombie Title!

My fab editor at Kensington came up with a great title for the third and final military paranormal romance (aka “zombie”) book. It’s going to be called DEAD ALERT. What do you think of that?

So there are/will be 5 zombie stories in all – 2 novellas and 3 novels – in the following order:

“Simon Says” in the HALF PAST DEAD anthology – available now
ONCE BITTEN, TWICE DEAD – available now
“Smoke On The Water” in THE BEAST WITHIN anthology – Halloween 2010
A DARKER SHADE OF DEAD – November 2010
DEAD ALERT – 2011

I may write more zombie stories at some point in the future but I kind of want to get on to other things as soon as I’m done with this last book. I’m writing it now and it’s high adventure with a heroine and hero who are pilots. It’ll all come to a head in this book and be resolved, so there’s a lot of satisfaction in writing a book that wraps everything up.

July is nose to the grindstone time to finally finish this book. Then it’s on to other things. Right now I’m working on a proposal for a new dragon shapeshifter series – a contemporary one this time that will be a little darker and less “erotic” than the current dragon series I have with Samhain. I’ll let you know if/when anything comes of it. I’m also tossing around a few other ideas but nothing concrete yet.

As for my Samhain books… I will have more in the future, I just need time to write them. As soon as this contract is fulfilled for the last of the zombie books, I’ll probably take a little time to play with various projects I have in progress and work on whatever appeals to me at the time. I love having that kind of freedom with my Samhain books. I’m not sure what to tackle first – the last of the Resonance Mates books, a new dragon story, maybe some vamps or weres…

Best not to get too far ahead of myself. I have a zombie book to finish first. Wish me luck!
