The Seventh Series… Resonance Mates

It’s New Years Eve, so I thought I’d focus on a series that I will be ending shortly, Resonance Mates.
There are four books now available in the series, both in print and ebook formats:
The fifth and final book in the series will be HARRY’S SACRIFICE. I’ve been writing it for a while and it’s about half finished. I hope to finish it up sometime in early 2012 and get it in the pipeline for publication.
This series is a very erotic futuristic menage with humanoid aliens I based on Tolkein style elves. Tall, blond, gorgeous and very, very cold. Unemotional until they start interacting with humans. I call them Alvians and explain that they’ve been to Earth before and inspired our myths about elves. The mix of human and Alvian DNA is explosive – producing people who are blessed with extraordinary psychic gifts of all kinds. Telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance… All that and more.
At first, the humans who have traces of Alvian DNA have no idea that’s what gave them and their ancestors such remarkable gifts. All they want to do is survive in the new world the aliens have created by their attack on the Earth. Tsunamis, earthquakes and global upheval on a massive scale have reshaped the planet, making it barely survivable for those few humans left on the surface.
Women are scarce. Men are savage. And then the hunting begins. The Alvians are hunting humans to imprison and study. Over the course of the next few books, the Alvians begin experimenting with deliberately mixing human and Alvian DNA. They even begin tinkering with their race’s DNA in order to restore some of what was lost.
DAVIN’S QUEST shows a different kind of alien – one who’s not as cold and unfeeling as the rest of his race. He’s a throwback to what Alvians were like before they started selectively breeding out the stronger emotions from their race.
JACI’S EXPERIMENT chronicles an alien lab tech’s journey from unemotional scientist to a woman in love with two men. Two human men. A lab error turns her into something new and scary. The only place she can find solace is in the arms of her two Resonance Mates.
GRADY’S AWAKENING follows one of the biggest, baddest alien soldiers as he voluntarily submits to genetic treatment designed to restore emotion to him. He’s never felt much before and his guide on the journey of self-discovery is an unlikely human girl and a sometimes-hostile human soldier.
Harry’s book will take us to even stranger places in this new world. It will also introduce some amazing new characters that may show up in the spin-off series I’m starting to think about.
The Resonance Mates was planned as a 5-book story arc from the beginning and I WILL end it with Harry’s book, but there are a few characters that have shown up during the series that I would like to write stories for. I’m envisioning a trilogy that explores a few of the relationships that I’ve hinted at in previous books. The first book will probably be devoted to Bill, Ruth and Sam. I might also write a story for Ronin Prime. And the third might be devoted to a very special character that you’ll meet in Harry’s book.
That’s how it stands for now. It might change in the future, as I start writing them, but for right now, that sounds about right to me.

I love this series. I have waiting for Harry’s book. All the trials and tribulations they have gone through they deserve a good ending.

YEAH! So happy to hear that Harry’s book is progressing! Can’t wait to read it! I would love a story about Ruth, Sam and Bill. This series is one that I have re-read more than once! Glad you’re writing again. Happy New Year!

I await the next book in the series, can’t wait for Harry’s story. I know that it has to end, but I don’t want it to. I love series, especially when past characters are revisited. Have a Happy New Year!

Mary D – Don’t worry, they’ll get the happy ending they deserve. One thing you can always count on in my books is the Happily Ever After.

.
Angie M – Thanks for the kind words. Yes, Ruth, Bill and Sam are quite a triad and I really want to explore their story more. That’ll probably be the first of the spinoff books – at least, that’s what I’m thinking now. It could change when I get to that point, but we’ll see.
.
Karen J – Don’t worry too much about the series “ending”. Most of the time, for me, an “ending” is really just a new beginning! LOL. I already plan to write a trilogy after Harry’s book is done.
.
Ann – see comment above. LOL!
.
ang – you “listen” to the books? Cool! I’ve never done that and I’ve always wondered how it worked/sounded.
.
Shari & Kris – Thanks! I’ll be happy to get going on Harry’s book again too – once this new dragon book is finished. Probably in a couple of weeks.
